In 1966 Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass created the Wolf Blass wine.

Born in Germany later on Wolf emigrated to Australia in 1961 taking not much with him however his Master's in Oenology.

In the wake of working for Tolley, Scott and Tolley as a winemaker for a couple of years before building up his own winery, Wolf Blass Wines.
