Southern Comfort

In 1874 Southern Comfort was established, created by Martin Wilkes Heron at McCauley's Tavern in New Orleans USA.

Consumers were concerned with the strong taste of Whiskey's in that era, a much smoother and sweeter beverage was required.

It was here when Heron began making a whiskey with fruits&spices and called it Cuffs and Buttons.

The name wasn't fond upon therefore Heron renamed it Southern Comfort. Now it is a world wide selling whiskey which is loved by millions.
