1827 was when it started for Marnier liqueurs with Jean-Baptiste Lapostolle founding a distillery producing fruit flavoured liqueurs.

Only until 1880 when Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle advised Cesar Ritz to try his newly "Curaçao Marnier" it was from here on that he liked it so much he persuaded him to call it the 'Grand Marnier'

Now well known world wide for its famous Caribbean orange aromas and style, it is consumed daily with cocktails in desserts or just a casual drink.
