Many people may be familiar with the story of Thomas Dakin, as he was one of the major early pioneers & played a key role in British distilling during the 18th Century.
Many parts of his story has been brought to life through Bombay Sapphire & Greenall’s Gin previously as both brands’ heritage emerge from his original distillery.
For them people unfamiliar with the name – Thomas Dakin was only 25 years old when he started distilling his gin in Bridge Street, Warrington.
The distillery was located half way between Liverpool & Manchester & ideally linked to both thanks to the development of the English canal network.
