In 1975, Jose Maria Guadalupe Cuervo was granted the first official license to produce tequila marking the birth of tequila as we know it today.
Over 200 years later, tradicional is still produced to the same small batch methods laid down by Jose Cuervo and is overseen by the 10th generation of the family.
Under the direct supervision of our expert distiller, estate grown agave plants are slow-cooked in clay adobe ovens and then double-distilled in small, artisanal stills.
