Details of production:

Chanson owns a vineyard of 5.4 hectares in premier Cru “Les Vergelesses”. One of the plots of this vineyard has been selected to produce this PernandVergelesses village, its soils are clay and limestone. After a very cold winter and a cool and humid spring, the weather became really fine and warm end of July. The sunny weather and the warm temperatures engendered a slow ripening process of the grapes. The harvest commenced mid September under a bright sunshine. The combination of all those climatic factors associated with meticulous vinifications have produced wines with very pure aromas and a crunchy texture. Aging in oak casks during 12 months.

Tasting notes:

Bright ruby. Fragrances of Violet mixed with ripe red berries and plum and an array of spices. Delicate vanilla note. Well balanced and well-edged. Good depth. Beautiful texture. Direct firm tannins. Generous and refreshing aftertaste.

How to serve:

Enjoy with grilled steak and a wide selection of French cheeses, in particular Brie.
