Description
Domaine Chanson Pernand Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Vergelesses 2013
Details of production:
Chanson owns a vineyard of 5.4 hectares in premier Cru “Les Vergelesses”. One of the plots of this vineyard has been selected to produce this PernandVergelesses village, its soils are clay and limestone. After a very cold winter and a demanding spring, the hot summer was regularly interrupted by rainy intervals. Early september however, had bright and warm weather, speeding up the maturation of the grapes. Harvest began in the last days of September and long and careful macerations have produced wines with smooth and elegant tannins.
Tasting notes:
Bright ruby. Fragrances of Violet mixed with ripe red berries and plum and an array of spices. Delicate vanilla note. Well balanced and well-edged. Good depth. Beautiful texture. Direct firm tannins. Generous and refreshing aftertaste.
How to serve:
Enjoy with grilled steak and a wide selection of French cheeses, in particular Brie.
