Description
Neige Winter Harvest 2008 In Gift Tube (6 x 37.5cl)
Produced from rare varieties of apples that do not fall off the trees in autumn. They are handpicked in winter when temperatures fall as low as -15C.
The fruits remaining on the trees are dehydrated by the sun and literally cooked by the cold and wind. The sugars are concentrated through natural cryoextraction and the frozen apples are then pressed to extract the precious nectar.
The fresh pressed must is placed in stainless steel tanks where it ferments for approximately eight months, at low temperatures, before being bottled.
Tasting notes
Light orange with coppery reflections in colour.
Aromas of ripe apple blending together with tobacco, spices, caramel and fruit.
It tastes bright and fresh with lingering notes of butterscotch.
Perfect with Foi Gras, Blue veined cheese or Tarte Tatin.
Best served cold, Neige Winter Harvest has long ageing potential and can be enjoyed for many years.
