Disaronno dates back to the 1500s when Bernardino Luini, a excellent pupil of Leonardo da Vinci was told to paint a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles in Saronno (Madonna dei Miracoli in Saronno, where the Fresco is still displayed today).
Out of respect and gratitude she prepared for the artist a special gift of a flask full of an amber liqueur, fragrant and delicate.
This is how the remarkable liqueur which is world wide famous Disaronno came to shine.
1942 was the arrival of this unique bottle, it is still used to date.
Many people think that it is a almond based liqueur however it is a liqueur full of herbs & spices.
