Courvoisier is one out of four most leading cognac houses in the world. It was created in 1835 by Emmanuel Courvoisier and his fellow associate, Louis Gallois. They ran a wine and spirit merchant company in Paris France.
Courvoisier's reputation in Paris grew very rapidly and this led to a visit from the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, even so he took several barrels of cognac with him.
